Sooner State Pattern Works, Inc. offers eight types of pattern materials.
Let's find the right type of material needed for your business.

Aluminum Patterns

Aluminum is the top choice for high quality, long lasting patterns. Aluminum is highly resistant to the abrasive sand when compared to other pattern materials.

Tooling Plank

Extremely tough, high impact Urethane Plank is a cheaper alternative to aluminum. As with aluminum, tooling plank starts out as solid piece or laminated piece of material, and is then machined to its final shape.

Cast Iron

We are capable of producing fully machined cast iron pattern and core equipment,
per your needs.

Plastic Patterns

Plastic Patterns are a cheaper alternative to aluminum or tooling plank patterns, where multiple, identical shapes are involved. Rather than machining multiple parts of the same shape, only one is machined, then a urethane mold is made, and from that we can easily cast multiple objects within tight tolerances quickly.

Investment

Investment casting is a process used to create precise, detailed metal parts with smooth finishes.

A wax pattern is used to form a mold, which is then filled with molten metal to produce an accurate final part. This method is ideal for complex designs and reduces the need for additional machining.
